People just buy plots in their preferred housing schemes in Pakistan and build own houses. Building own home is great, but one must know the construction cost. For cost estimation, you first need to know the total covered area to be constructed. Once you have calculated the covered area, house construction cost can be divided into two parts, grey structure cost and finishing cost.
Cost of Grey structure work
Construction of house structure is considered as grey work. So from foundation excavation to plastering of roofs & walls and preparation of flooring is the grey structure work. This depends on the quality of finishes you choose for your home. For example engineered doors cost less, whereas solid wood doors cost more.
